Hello Toronto,
Fashion Thursdays at Locus 144 has finally
arrived. A place where the marriage of fashion and music come together
under the same roof. It's an opportunity for Toronto's fashion
community to come together to support and recognise each others creative
endeavours. Backed by Canada's Beauty Network
and Rogers Media this event will be a night of glam and raw fashion. This will be a monthly event!
On July 12 we will be hosting two fashion shows by Toronto's very own
B.E Sheilds and Blak-i. The first show will start at 9:30pm and the
second at 10:30. It's very important that evryone interested in seeing
the shows must be inside before showtimes.
Hosted by Ian Pereira and Kira Nathaniel.

BIO:
This exciting new label, showcases the creative mind of Toronto-based
designer, Theresa Ibbetson. After extensive travels through Europe
during most of her formative years, Theresa has returned to Canada with a
fresh perspective and a new lease on life. A graduate from the
celebrated Fashion Design program at College Lasalle in Montreal,
Quebec, Theresa now calls Toronto home. It is here that B.E. SHIELDS was
also born.
With a strong attention to details, fabrics and
cuts, B.E.SHIELDS is a brand built on the foundation of understated
elegance, simplistic lines and tradition. Mixed in with Ibbetson's
urban background, you have a brand which is both classic and elegant,
which still remains edgy and modern.

Helder Aguiar was born and raised in Azores, Portugal, he moved to
Canada with his family at the age of 10. Helder loved to dress up as a

their style. After originally being enrolled in McMaster for
accounting, it was during this time that he realized that his true
passion was in fashion.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Diego
comes from a background in the apparel industry. With a great
grandfather who was a tailor and a grandfather in the textile business,
the garment trade came as a natural choice. Diego has always had an
inclination towards the artistic side, and found fashion design as a
perfect medium to channel this through.
Helder and Diego met
while attending the acclaimed International Academy of Design in
Toronto. They became friends through their studies, not knowing that
their friendship would one day lead to their eventual partnership in
business.
After working together at local designer NADA, where they
were able to further build their partnership, they decided that they
would step out and tackle their next challenge, the creation of [blak] •
